Weekend Loves

We hope you’re all having a nice, relaxing Sunday!

Over the weekend we often list a few vintage pieces in our shop that don’t really fit into whatever theme we might be planning at the time. If you follow us on Facebook or Twitter, you’ll still get a heads up that there is something new to check out, but we rarely bother with them on the blog. This weekend, however, we’ve listed two pieces that we really wanted to keep for ourselves! We love them so much that we thought they deserved a little extra attention…

Space Dye – Loves of the Week

Both of us at L + K have been crazy over “Space Dye” as of late. Be it a chunky knit with a southwestern theme, or fine, delicate, and brightly colored, we have been clicking that little red heart a lot on Etsy!

We had fun putting together our week of white accessories for Spring, for you! Now that everything is live in our shop, head on over to see the full info on each of them!

Loves for Less – Riding Jackets

Both of us at Lise and Katina have been finishing the last of our Christmas shopping this week (No, we’re definitely not the type to be done before Thanksgiving!), and, as always, one of our favorite places to find the perfect gifts is J. Crew. Everything Jenna Lyons touches is solid gold, as far as we’re concerned, and this hacking jacket is a standout classic:

Eye Candy

Can we just drool for a moment over Alice + Olivia’s Spring 2012 presentation that debuted yesterday?

The brand is always applying vintage looking touches to their modern looks, but this season just hits it out of the park for us. Candy colored retro styles blend most of our favorite era’s for fashion – 20’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s – all into one collection. The shoes, the hats, the sunglasses! Neither Lise nor Katina are girly girls, but these pastels and florals are looking pretty tempting for this spring.

If you’re as inspired by these looks as we are and want a head-start on a couple of pieces to wear come spring, try searching Etsy for things like “1960s enamel brooch“, “bright geometric scarf” or “1970s floral pants“. And remember to keep an eye on our store too for similar pieces coming closer to spring (and of course relevant pieces for this season as well!)

This week

Good morning! This week we’re giving you a full preview of what we’ll be listing each day! Our need to squeeze all kinds of fun into the last weeks of summer was our inspiration for our selections this week, so we went with a couple of color blocking basics, a couple of saturated florals with loads of swirly fabric, and a one-of-a-kind bohemian locket.

In our shop already is this beautiful floor-length caftan by Susie Q of California:

Over the next couple of days we’ll have these beauties ready for sale:

Kelly Green Pencil Skirt

Jonathan Logan Floral Dress

Red Pendleton Blazer

Goldette Medallion Locket

These are some of the pieces we were the most excited about finding – ones that we have a hard time not keeping for ourselves! We hope you love them as much as we do!

Monday loves!

Happy Monday everyone, we hope you had a good weekend! As for us, we sourced some awesome vintage pieces that we are very excited to be showcasing soon. More about that later!

Today we have two new items in our shop for you!

As far as we’re concerned, it is still definitely summer (despite the thunderstorms outside of our windows!). But if you’re thinking ahead, today’s vintage loves are great fall transitional pieces. A pair of clustered, beaded earrings in autumnal tones, made in West Germany, and a bronze colored belt buckle, made in the 1970’s, that would fit in perfectly with this year’s southwestern trends.

Please have a look, and tell us what you would wear them with!
